Faros Skopelou is organizing an event in Skopelos together with the Greek cancer charity "Be Strong". This event will comprise a public talk (in Greek), which will look at how we can provide psycho-social support to someone who has cancer. The event will take place on Saturday 9th October 2010, 7.00 p.m. at "Rigas Hotel" in Skopelos.
- The charity’s founder Panagiotis Michael who has experienced cancer twice, and through his experience decided to help others with cancer, by providing accurate information and support. He will present a theme with the title: “I am what I am thinking”. He is the author of an autobiography about his experiences called “We are Tourists”.
- Mr. Michael Patrikareas who is a psychotherapist-sociologist and he will present two other themes with the titles: “The exhibition of truth to Cancer patients” and “Cancer stigma”.
